LOS ANGELES, Jan. 19 (Xinhua) -- Jordan Clarkson scored 33 points as the Los Angeles Lakers cruised past the Indiana Pacers 99-86 Friday night at the Staples Center.
The Lakers seemed to play another ugly game in the first quarter when they missed too many easy shots. As the game went on, the Lakers' point guard Clarkson got into form and led the team to control the game with aggressive defence.
The Pacers only scored 14 points in the second quarter and the team's field goal percentage was only 38 percent for the game. Besides 33 points, Clarkson also added 7 rebounds and 7 assists.
The Lakers won five of the latest seven games after they snapped a nine-game losing streak early this month, which helped them to fled the bottom of western conference standings.?
