RABAT, Dec. 8 (Xinhua) -- A Chinese movie won a prize in the 18th edition of the Marrakech International Film Festival which was concluded on Saturday night.
The Jury Prize went to the movie "Mosaic Portrait" directed by Chinese director Zhai Yixiang as well as "Last Visit" of Saudi Abdulmohsen Aldhabaan.
The Jury has awarded the Golden Star for the best film to Colombian Nicolas Rincon Gille for "Valley of Souls."
The Best Actor Award went to Toby Wallace for the Australian comedy drama "Babyteeth," and the women's performance award to Nichola Burley and Roxane Scrimshaw for the British comedy "Lynn + Lucy."
A special tribute was paid Friday to Hollywood legend Robert Redford who was handed the festival's Golden Star by French actress Chiara Mastroianni and French screenwriter Rebecca Zlotowski.
A total of 98 films from 34 countries have been screened during the festival, which also paid tribute to Australian cinema.
Created in 2001 by the Moroccan King Mohammed VI, the Moroccan landmark festival aims to promote arts and the film industry in the North African country.
