BEIJING, Nov. 4 (Xinhua) -- China will cut the central government pricing items by about 30 percent, according to China's economic planner Monday.
The number of specific pricing items will shrink to 16 in seven categories, according to an exposure draft to invite public comment on the website of the National Development and Reform Commission.
The remaining categories include power transmission and distribution, oil and gas pipeline transportation, basic transportation, water supply for major water conservancy projects, important postal services, key professional services and special drugs and blood, according to the draft.
This is an update from the previous version issued in 2015.
The revised list mainly deletes pricing items that have been liberalized or abolished by the government in recent years in a bid to consolidate the achievements of price reforms.
