ATHENS, Sept. 28 (Xinhua) -- A Greek ferry with 613 passengers and crew members on board returned to the port of Igoumenitsa on Saturday after a fire broke out in the garage section of the ship, Greek Coast Guard said.
Two passengers faced respiratory system problems, Greek national news agency AMNA reported.
ANEK LINES' Olympic Champion docked at the port and was evacuated with no incidents, the Coast Guard's spokesperson Nikos Lagadianos told local ANT1 TV.
The vessel had just sailed from the Greek port and was en route for Venice, Italy with 538 passengers, 75 crew members on board and 293 vehicles, when the fire broke out under still unclear circumstances inside the garage.
