KUNMING, Sept. 5 (Xinhua) -- Artificial intelligence will be employed at the 2019 Kunming International Half Marathon on September 7, allowing participants to star in their own personal documentaries.
Organizers say AI will capture every runner's move with a facial recognition system and then collate them together to create an exclusive documentary of their race.
Over 15,000 runners from China and overseas are set to take part in Saturday's race, which will be the eighth running of an event that has been held every year since 2012.
From 2016 to 2018, the Kunming International Half Marathon won the Chinese Athletics Association's "Gold Medal Race" award, and has become one of the country's most popular road races. Enditem
