KABUL, Aug. 10 (Xinhua) -- Ten armed militants affiliated with the Taliban outfit have given up fighting and joined the government-backed peace process in the western Ghor province on Friday, provincial government spokesman Abdul Hai Khatibi said on Saturday.
"Ten Taliban fighters under Mawlawi Rafiq have given up fighting, laid down arms and availing the peace process. They returned to their homes and resumed the normal life in the community," Khatibi told Xinhua.
