HONG KONG, July 4 (Xinhua) -- A magnitude-5.5 earthquake jolted 23 km SSE of Jarm, Afghanistan at 04:20:08 GMT on Thursday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 79.84 km, was initially determined to be at 36.677 degrees north latitude and 70.9524 degrees east longitude.
