NEW DELHI, June 18 (Xinhua) -- "World Food India (WFI) 2019" will be held in the Indian capital from November 1-4 which is aimed to position the country as the world's food processing destination, an government statement said here Tuesday.
The grand event will see participation of a large number of food processing companies from different countries, organizers said.
Food Processing Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal met with various stakeholders of the WFI on Monday in this regard.
Kaur said the event will be the biggest gathering of global and domestic stakeholders in the food processing sector.
The first such event in 2017 saw the participation of 61 countries and signing of memoranda of understanding worth 14 billion U.S. dollars.
