WINDHOEK, May 12 (Xinhua) -- Namibia's Women's Cricket team missed out on a world cup berth after losing the final African qualifier by 50 runs to Zimbabwe in Sunday.
Zimbabwe chose to bat and scored 114 runs in their allotted 20 overs with Chipo Mugeri scoring with 36 runs.
The gap was too large for Namibia to close when they experienced a monumental collapse in their batting display only managing 64 runs in 20 overs.
Eight out of 11 batswoman for Namibia failed to make any significant contribution to the team total being dismissed for under par scores below ten.
The Zimbabwean bowling was so good that only two batswoman from Namibia could manage scores of 11 and 18.
The result means Namibia fall off while Zimbabwe progress to the world group qualifiers for the World Cup.
