GHAZNI, Afghanistan, April 9 (Xinhua) -- At least 13 militants have been killed after fighting aircraft struck Taliban hideouts in the eastern Ghazni and neighboring Paktika provinces, an army statement said here Tuesday.
According to the statement, the sorties targeted Taliban hiding places in Ghazni's Andar district and adjoining areas, killing five insurgents. And the attack in Paktika's Barmal district and its vicinities killed eight militants.
A number of militants have also sustained injuries in the raids, the statement said.
Taliban militants haven't commented yet.
