RAMALLAH, March 20 (Xinhua) -- A Palestinian was shot dead on Wednesday night by Israeli army gunfire near the southern West Bank city of Bethlehem, the Palestinian Authority Health Ministry reported.
It said in a short press statement that a Palestinian was shot in the chest and shoulder by Israeli soldiers as he was in a vehicle at an Israeli army roadblock at the entrance to Bethlehem.
The Palestinian man was dead upon arrival at Beit Jala Hospital.
On Tuesday night, the Israeli army killed three Palestinians in two separate shooting incidents. One was believed to be responsible for Sunday's stabbing and shooting attack near Salfit in the West Bank and the other two were killed near Nablus.
