LONDON, March 12 (Xinhua) -- British stocks rose on Tuesday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index up by 0.29 percent, or 20.53 points, to close at 7,151.15 points.
EVRAZ, a multinational vertically integrated steel making and mining company, soared 2.65 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. Schroders and Taylor Wimpey increased by 2.53 percent and 2.22 percent, respectively.
GVC Holdings, a multinational sports betting and gaming group, was the worst performer in the blue chips, with its shares losing 3.40 percent.
Rentokil Initial, a business services company, dropped 2.12 percent. Intertek Group, a multinational assurance, inspection, product testing and certification company, fell 1.99 percent. Enditem
