NEW DELHI, March 12 (Xinhua) -- India's consumer inflation measured by the Consumer Price Index (CPI) stood at a provisional 2.57 percent in February, according to official data released on Tuesday.
The consumer inflation in January stood at 1.97 percent.
Meanwhile, the factory output, measured by the index of industrial production (IIP) stood at 1.7 percent in January.
"The Quick Estimates of Index of Industrial Production (IIP) with base 2011-12 for the month of January 2019 stands at 134.5, which is 1.7 percent higher as compared to the level in the month of January 2018. The cumulative growth for the period April-January 2018-19 over the corresponding period of the previous year stands at 4.4 percent," said the statement issued by India's central statistics office.
