MEXICO CITY, March 1 (Xinhua) -- A crash between a tractor-trailer, a van and a pick-up truck on Friday in the Mexican state of Baja California Sur left at least seven people dead and one injured, the local government said.
According to official reports, the accident occurred Friday morning on the highway that connects the tourist resort of Cabo San Lucas and the town of Todos Santos in the Baja California peninsula.
The tractor-trailer overturned and caught fire after colliding with the two vehicles and the smoke reached several meters high, according to local press reports.
In his Twitter account, Carlos Mendoza Davis, governor of Baja California Sur, said the accident left seven dead and one man injured, adding that the injured was out of danger.
