BEIRUT, Feb. 24 (Xinhua) -- Hezbollah's deputy leader Naim Qassem said on Sunday that there is no way but to rely on Hezbollah's resistance to stop the United States from achieving its goals in Lebanon and the region.
"We have succeeded in forcing Israel to withdraw from Lebanon with our resistance ... and with the resistance, Lebanon has become more powerful with a bigger role," Qassem was quoted as saying by the National News Agency.
He also said Lebanon cannot rely on the United States to find a political solution in Syria in a bid to solve the refugee crisis.
"We have relied on the U.S. to solve the Palestinian crisis, but instead, it wants to get rid of Palestine in favor of Israel," the Hezbollah deputy leader said.
The United States is working on destabilizing Syria, he stressed.
