HOHHOT, Dec. 2 (Xinhua) -- The Inner Mongolian Arm Wrestling competition took place here on Sunday, with prizes up for grabs in several categories.
In the category for males of more than 75 kg, logistics worker Ma Longquan took the spoils, while local hero Wu Mingxuan gained the first prize in the female category.
The winner of the category for men under 75 kg was Yang Dezhi, who thrilled the crowd with his flamboyant appearance, complete with necklace and tattoos.
Another notable competitor was Yuan Xiufen, who is in her 50s and was competing against women half her age, and drew on her experience of having trained in the discus and javelin as a youth.
