TASHKENT, Oct. 8 (Xinhua) -- Special representative of the president of Uzbekistan on Afghanistan Ismatilla Irgashev and his counterpart Markus Potzel of the federal government of Germany for Afghanistan and Pakistan exchanged views on the situation in Afghanistan on Monday.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, main attention was paid to the interaction in the implementation of the provisions and recommendations of the Tashkent Declaration, which was adopted on March 27 at the Tashkent Conference on Afghanistan.
The two sides also discussed the issue of attracting financial resources for accelerating implementation of projects on construction of railway, power transmission lines and other infrastructure facilities in Afghanistan. Enditem
