SKOPJE, Oct. 7 (Xinhua) -- A total of 69 children in Macedonia have been victims of domestic violence in the first half of 2018, local media reported on Sunday.
According to the Macedonian Ministry of Labor and Social Policy data in the last five years, Macedonia has seen annual increases in the number of children violence cases. The number of domestic violence on children was 131 cases in 2014. It increased to 146 cases in 2017.
Macedonian Ministry of Labor and Social Policy is preparing to undertake various reforms in the legislation in this field.
Currently for the protection of the victims of violence, the Center for Social Work in Macedonia undertakes a series of measures, such as health protection, intervention and psycho-physical treatment, as well as family help for child education.
