WASHINGTON, Sept. 29 (Xinhua) -- The Washington Wizards center Dwight Howard will miss all of training camp, head coach Scott Brooks said on Saturday.
The coach admitted that Howard needs more time to deal with an ailing back.
Howard, 32, signed with the Wizards in the offseason after he was acquired by the Brooklyn Nets and subsequently bought out. The eight-time All-Star is with his fifth team in seven seasons.
He had a solid season with the Charlotte Hornets in 2017-18. Playing in over 80 games for the first time since the 2009-10 campaign, Howard averaged 16.6 points and 12.5 rebounds for Charlotte.?
