BEIJING, Sept. 7 (Xinhua) -- Yang Jiechi, director of the Office of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, met with Cuban First Vice President Salvador Valdes Mesa Friday in Beijing.
Yang, also a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, said the international landscape is undergoing profound changes, and the two countries should carry forward the tradition of maintaining close high-level exchanges.
He called on the two countries to continue to enhance strategic communication and governing experience exchanges, help and support each other and deepen cooperation.
Valdes said the Cuban government and people are firmly committed to developing friendly relations with China, as well as enhancing coordination with the Chinese side.
