RIYADH, Aug. 23 (Xinhua) -- Saudi border guards have foiled an attack targeting an oil distribution station of Saudi Oil Company Aramco in border city Jazan, Sabq local news reported on Thursday.
The Guards intercepted an empty remotely controlled boat filled with explosives heading from Yemen regional waters. It was stopped by shooting at the engine and was destroyed in the middle of the sea.
A similar attack was foiled in April 2017 that targeted Aramco's station in Jazan. Saudi Arabia has been targeted by Houthi militias for leading a coalition involved in a war in Yemen for the last three years.
