WUHAN, July 30 (Xinhua) -- The 2018 Jing Men Aviclub Flight Carnival is to be held from September 21 to 23 in Aviclub Aviation Joy-Town in Jingmen, in central China's Hubei Province. Demonstration teams from the UK, Australia and Spain are expected to perform air shows during the event.
A press conference held on Monday revealed that the carnival would feature aerobatic performances, aircraft exhibitions and flight simulator experiences. More than 300,000 attendees are expected.
Apart from seeing air shows, skydiving performances and parachuting, attendees will also have the chance to experience hot-air balloon rides and skydiving. In the aircraft exhibition, over 150 models will be shown, representing the full range of China's general aviation and seaplane industry.
Other activities will include an aviation science exhibition, the Aviclub music festival and a general aviation industry forum.
The Aviclub Flight Carnival is run by the Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC). In 2014, the Jingmen government and AVIC reached an agreement on the construction of Aviclub Aviation Joy-Town, which aimed to provide a new-style industrial cluster, bringing together research, manufacturing, training and leisure.
