TEHRAN, July 23 (Xinhua) -- Iran defeated South Korea in straight sets of 25-22, 25-21, 25-19 at the 2018 Asian Men's U-20 Volleyball Championship on Monday.
Iran had beaten defending champions China 3-0 in their first game on Saturday.
"I am satisfied with the way our players played in these two matches. We concentrate on winning the title, that's why we are here in Bahrain," Iran coach Behrouz Ataei told the post-match news conference.
It is the 19th edition of the Asian Men's U20 Volleyball Championship, a biennial international volleyball tournament organized by the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) with Bahrain Volleyball Association (BVA).
The tournament is being held in Riffa, Bahrain, from 21 to 28 July 2018.
The top two teams of the tournament will qualify for the 2019 FIVB Volleyball Men's U21 World Championship as the AVC representatives. Enditems
