KAMPALA, July 23 (Xinhua) -- England will host Uganda in a three-match Vitality Netball International Series scheduled for Nov. 27-Dec. 2, in Liverpool and Stratford.
Susan Anek, the president of Uganda Netball Federation, told Xinhua in an interview on Monday that the series will give the She Cranes exposure and also a chance to play against England Roses who are a very experienced team.
The England Roses narrowly beat the She Cranes (55-49) on their journey winning gold at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Australia.
"It is because of our good display at the Commonwealth Games and the fact that we have also won the Africa Netball Championships in 2016/2017 that we are landing several invitations," said Anek.
Uganda will be led by skipper Peace Proscovia, one of the top players in the England Netball Super League where she plays for Loughborough Lightning.
So far, Australia are top ranked by the International Netball Federation (INF), England are second and Uganda are seventh. Enditem
