SARAJEVO, July 22 (Xinhua) -- Around 800 runners took part in the Second Tuzla Half Marathon on Saturday midnight in Bosnia and Herzegovina's (BiH) city of Tuzla, some 120 km northeast of the capital.
Runners from different countries competed together by running 21 km and then another 100 meters through the busiest streets of Tuzla city.
According to the organizer's website, the men's race was won by Kenyan Stanly Kipruto and Serbian runner Olivera Jevtic won the women's category.
In men's competition, the second place was taken by Lasio Gregor, while third was Nemanja Cerovac. The second among women was Zita Kacer, while third place was taken by Jelena Kosic.
All participants received T-shirt, refreshments and various sponsorship gifts when passing through the finish line, while the best runners received a medal and cash prizes.
Started in 2017, Tuzla Half Marathon aims to bond and empower individuals and society, to promote healthy lifestyles through sport in a positive and friendly environment, and encourage overcoming personal boundaries in a supportive atmosphere.
