BERLIN, Jul 2 (Xinhua) -- The German record champions have presented their new arrival Serge Gnabry in an official press conference on Monday.
After one year with league rivals Hoffenheim, Bayern Munich have unveiled their new arrival Serge Gnabry, who returned from a loan deal to receive the jersey no. 22.
The 22-year-old attacking midfielder is returning from a thigh injury and started his preparations at Bayern.
"I have been here for a few weeks and working hard on my comeback. You have to take your time to get back to 100 percent," the German international said.
Bayern signed Gnabry in the summer 2017 and loaned him immediately to league rivals Hoffenheim to give him enough play time on the pitch.
During his season-long loan deal, Gnabry provided 10 goals and eight assists in 22 competitive appearances for Hoffenheim.
"He has qualities you don't see often. Serge is top talent who has a great future at Bayern Munich," sporting director Hasan Salihamdizic said.
The "Bavarians" kick off the Bundesliga season 2018-2019 against Hoffenheim on August 24.
