JAKARTA, Feb. 26 (Xinhua) -- Indonesian meteorology and geophysics agency reported that there is no immediate report of damage or casualty in eastern Indonesia following a 7.6 magnitude quake struck Papua New Guinea earlier Monday.
"So far, there is no reports of damages," Said Kristiawan, an official who is in charge of the agency told Xinhua by phone.
The agency reported the quake hit at 00: 44 a.m. Jakarta time Monday (17:44 GMT Sunday) with epicenter at 226 km southeast Bovendigoel of Papua province in eastern most Indonesia and with depth at 96 km under land.
