NEW YORK, Feb. 25 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake measuring 7.6 on the Richter scale jolted 92km SSW of Porgera, Papua New Guinea at 17:44:39 GMT on Sunday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 6.2 degrees south latitude and 142.8 degrees east longitude.
