TEHRAN, Feb. 17 (Xinhua) -- Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif will leave Tehran for Germany on Saturday evening to partake in the ongoing Munich Security Conference (MSC).
Zarif will deliver a speech at the conference on Sunday about regional and international issues, Iran's Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Qasemi announced on Saturday.
He is also scheduled to meet some officials from other countries to discuss security issues afflicting the region and the world, said Qasemi.
The 54th MSC kicked off in Munich, Germany, on Friday.
Major global security issues, including the future role of the European Union as a global actor and its relations with Russia and the United States, are among the focuses of the 54th MSC.
Over 500 participants from around the world have attended the three-day major annual gathering for international security issues.
